Dr. Robert Fielden, NCARB, FAIA, is a senior principal with RAFI, a multi-faceted planning, architecture and urban design firm. Fielden is internationally recognized for his contributions to architecture. His commitment to architectural excellence dates back to 1967 when he received the state’s first major design award for work in Nevadafor UNLV’s chemistry building. His long history of design excellence for public and private sector clients include projects in Carson City, Reno, Stead, Elko, Caliente, Mesquite, Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, North Las Vegas and Jean. Fielden received the Architecture Doctorate degree from the School of Architecture at the University of Hawaiiat Manoa, in 2000. Fielden is one of the first 10 architectural doctorates receiving this degree, and was selected to represent the school as its graduate marshal at graduation. During his tenure as a student and teacher at Manoa and as a member of the adjunct faculty, Fielden served as a mentor and advisor to the school on contemporary practice management issues. The specialized aspects of his professional knowledge, experience and skill focus on practice competency, resource conservation, product and systems integration, quality control of work and profession standard of care.
